Introduction

At One Music Academy, our commitment to nurturing young minds through the arts goes beyond just music education. On Sunday, September 17th, we took a step further in our mission to inspire creativity and environmental consciousness by conducting a free workshop for kids. This special event saw young artists come together to create their very own eco-friendly Ganesha idols, offering a unique blend of artistic expression and sustainability.

Celebrating Creativity and Tradition

The festival of Ganesh Chaturthi is a significant cultural celebration in many parts of India. Traditionally, it involves the creation of clay idols of Lord Ganesha, followed by elaborate rituals and immersion in water bodies. However, the use of non-biodegradable materials and chemicals in idol-making has raised environmental concerns in recent years. At One Music Academy, we believe in celebrating tradition while respecting the environment. Our eco-friendly Ganesha workshop was designed to bridge this gap, enabling children to explore their creativity while making a positive impact on the planet.

A Day of Artistic Exploration

The workshop began with an introduction to the significance of Ganesh Chaturthi and the importance of using eco-friendly materials. Children were provided with natural clay, organic colors, and various craft supplies to fashion their own Ganesha idols. Our skilled instructors guided them through the process, encouraging them to add their personal touch to their creations.

The atmosphere in the workshop was brimming with enthusiasm and artistic energy. Young participants enthusiastically moulded and shaped their clay, each one imbuing their Ganesha with unique features and characteristics. It was heartwarming to witness the children’s concentration and dedication as they worked diligently on their projects.

Learning and Sustainability Hand-in-Hand

One Music Academy’s free workshop was not just about creating art; it was also an educational experience. Children learned about the importance of using eco-friendly materials in art and the significance of protecting the environment. This hands-on activity helped them understand that they can contribute positively to the world through their creative endeavours.

Community and Beyond

The event was a testament to the power of community and collaboration. Parents and guardians actively supported their children, sharing in the joy of artistic exploration. By fostering this sense of togetherness, we hope to encourage a deeper appreciation for art and culture among families
